"Assault" weapons for rent

[Prices are for the first 30 days and are subject to change. For more info see ...  rental prices ]

Just as with all firearm replicas, certain cities and states have restrictions on who can receive modern replicas, even non-firing ones. But these scary automatic-style weapons face even tighter scrutiny. Availability is tight, so make arrangements early for best selection.

A few of the items below are blank-firing, but can only fire in semi-automatic form (one shot with each pull of the trigger). No fully automatic fire is possible.

Are you making a film? Then click the highlight before reading on.

("what kind of blanks  do I need?")

THOMPSON SUB-MACHINE GUN - also known as the Tommy Gun. This is a strongly built, steel and wood replica. The firing version can only fire in semi-auto, not fully automatic.

Did you know that... it was the first practical US military machine gun, but was of only random lethality? The stock is angled down against the shoulder, so as the gun fired, the recoil drove the barrel up, so bullets would spray as much into the ceiling as across a room.

K40 -    prop/non-firing – [$ 60.00]

K41 -    22 cal. blank-fire – [$ 96.00]  only fires nine shots in strict semi-auto format - you cannot get a "rat-a-tat-a-tat"

By the way, historically only a dismantled Tommy gun could be carried in a viola case, and never in that of a violin. So what to do for "Anything Goes"? Here's what we have :

Z92 - A modern, and modified, high impact plastic viola case with a replica Tommy gun fit into it.  – [$ 98.00]
Please note that there is no butt stock possible on this gun, and we also have to drill some pretty big holes into it so it can mount into the case.

K44 – SCHMEISSER - actually called the MP-40, it was the quintessential German submachine gun of WWII. As the Allied forces were issued the heavy and cumbersome Tommy Gun, many US soldiers preferred to ditch the Thompson if they could get their hands on a Schmeisser.  Removable clip. work/prop – [$ 44.00]

K42 - FIRING AIR BOURNE - the AXIS powers in WWII commissioned dozens of weapons from a host of arms manufacturers. Sub-machine guns saw more use toward the end of the war, but even early on they were standard issue for paratroopers. (Sorry, we only have one of these) 22 cal. blank-fire – [$ 44.38]

K43 – STEN Mk III - thousands of these "cheap and nasty" sub-machine guns were made by the British for their own use against the Germans, and were parachuted in by the crate-load to partisan fighters throughout Europe. Still found in use throughout the world. An interesting look since, instead of a fore grip, the left hand merely hangs onto the bullet clip, which is mounted horizontally. Removable clip, very sturdy and comes with strap. 29". work/prop – [$ 39.60]

K53 - CZ-24 - used by the Czech army from 1948, tons were also exported to a score of countries, and still pop-up in large quantities on the black market. Shown with and without the removable shoulder stock. Can be used with a strap. The basic layout was later copied for the Israeli Uzi.  work/prop – [$ 49.00]

K60 - AK-47 [Zhekov] -  imitated throughout the world, the Army Kalashnikov [AK] model 47 rifle has been called the most successful weapon ever designed. Full steel and wood, with working bolt, this is a Czechoslovakian "AK", extremely sturdy and can be fitted with a strap and even a bayonet. work/prop – [$ 65.00]

S8 - AMMO CLIP, 30 rds - get a few extra to hang on the costume ... tape a couple together the way some soldiers do for easier re-loading  - [ $1 each]

K61 - AK-47 firing -This version, actually a larger than life replica, can fire in semi-automatic mode up to nine shots as quickly as the trigger can be pulled, but fully automatic fire is not possible.   22 cal. blank-fire – [$ 98.33]

K62 - AK-47-DESTROYED - Comic prop, as though it has been run over by a tank and the parts then hastily put together (for a production of Afghan Women). prop – [$ 23.00]

K90 - M-16 Blank-Fire - Designed in 1958, it was first issued to US forces in Vietnam in 1966, and has been the standard American military rifle ever since, but still rather infamous for its tendency to jam in critical situations.  Just as with all of the firing replicas we carry, this specimen can fire in semi-automatic mode up to nine shots as quickly as the trigger can be pulled, but fully automatic fire is not possible. .. and we only have one of these. [We have discontinued all non-firing M-16's from our stock]            22 cal. blank-fire – [$ 116.75]

    K80 - TYPE 47 - LIGHT INFANTRY Blank-Fire -semi-auto - 9 shots. 37" long -   22 cal. blank-fire – [$ 98.89]

K65 - HMG Anti-Personnel Machine Gun - is 43" in length. Two starter pistols inside provide semi-auto fire (no automatic fire). This is a generic fantasy piece. You won’t find it in any firearms catalogue, but then again it can fit a wider time line. Comes with either a lay-down tri-pod which raises the gun to 18", or a kneeling tri-pod which can bring the gun up to 4 feet high. The cartridge belt is just for show: it does not feed through. No external moving parts.

22 cal. blank-fire or prop –with cartridge belt and box and stand [$ 171.38]

K67 - HOTCHKISS Machine Gun - is 49" in length. This is a heavy piece to hold but sure has a "Rambo"- like look.    prop only – [$ 79.00]

K76 - IRAQ -  Moving the ammo clip to behind the grip means that it has the long barrel of the M16 with the short overall length of the UZI. The infantry weapon of the future.  Cannot be used with straps. Extremely limited availability.   prop/fragile – [$ 46.00]

K72-5 – INGRAHM (MAC) 12 (fantasy) – [we only have one of the these] just a lot of fun and it even fires blanks (semi-automatic fire only - 9 shots before offstage reloading). –  22 cal. blank-fire –[$ 56.00]

K73 – PDW, Lasa – the initials stand for "personal defense weapon", and these automatic pistols are usually of very small caliber in an attempt to reduce recoil. prop only – [$ 24.00]

K74 – MAC-10 – the popularity of the Mac-10 for plainclothes work (such as the Secret Service) is its compact size. Unfortunately, we only have one of these replicas, with no chance of getting more. 9". prop only – [$ 32.00]

K71 - TECH 47 - another blank-fire weapon. Although hefty, it is still considered a pistol since it is meant to be fired with one hand only. Our replica is somewhat similar in profile to the "Tec-9".      22 caliber blank-fire – [$ 49.00]

K88 – BISON – a strange item, side-by-side barrels and removable 30 round clip. This item is a pure futuristic fantasy piece. 18" overall length.   prop only, and we have only one – [$ 37.00]
