377 LARGE FOLDER same as above, but a straight blade [$6.74]
397 ARKANSAS TOOTHPICK a very menacing 12" blade. [$14.74]
372 ROMANY FIXED BLADE true Navajas are no longer imported (legally)
into this country; the few we had left after many years of actor abuse no longer
fold. We have welded the blade in the open position to make a good-looking and
strong fighting knife. 6" blade. [$12.00]

popular throughout Europe in the Renaissance and beyond. 12" steel blade. [$5.89]
326- EAGLE - [very limited availability] another small guard,
but very weak blade. costume [$10.11]
353 - MARAUDER - the style probabl y originated among
Turkish sailors, but was adapted by pirates and privateers in the Caribbean.

320 - ARABIAN - great for Othello or Ali Baba; blade =
10"; dress only costume [$11.16]
662 - PERSIAN - only two available; blade =
10"; a sturdy dagger [$25.89]

394 - BOWIE - the Bowie is a generic title given to several knife styles
which have very little in common with each other. No one can say for sure what
the first one looked like, but all shared the same characteristics of being big,
single edged, and meant for gutting a human being. Here are some variations. [$13.26]
379 "SWITCHBLADE" real switchblade knives are illegal in the United
States. The best we can do is to take the novelty comb, remove the plastic and
add a weak 4" aluminum blade. They dont last long, so we only offer them for
sale only, not rent. The only plus side here is that they look and operate just like
the real thing. [$6.40] sales price

380 GRAVITY KNIFE
Also called a "flick knife", it is not spring loaded. Instead, a button on the
edge of the
handle releases the blade, which can then drop down or pop out with the flick of
the wrist (hence the nickname). This kind of knife cannot be dropped, for the release button can be
easily damaged. It is not a switchblade, but in California we can't get any
more of them, and we only have one. Reserve it early. [$12.21]
older styles
390- TANTO - fighting dagger of the samurai. Contrary to
popular myth, it's primary function was not for the rare ritual suicide known as seppuku
[hara kiri];
costume [$12.21]
392 - KWAIKEN - The kwaiken was a womans knife of Japan. Not meant for
fighting, but only for one version of seppuku. The blade could be either single or double
edged, and the weapon was not meant for self-disemboweling, but rather to slit
the wrist and neck veins to allow one to slowly pass out before death.
costume, single edged [$12.21]

361- BONNY SCOTTISH DIRK - a large weapon with an almost prehistoric
look, it is the evolution of the ballock, and still part of the highlanders
dress uniform. [$14.74]
small knives

381 BUTTERFLY KNIFE with a little practice, opens flashily with one
hand [although it can rap your knuckles] [$7.00]
389- STRAIGHT RAZOR and of course completely dull [$3.00]
sorry, we do not have the blood razor for "Sweeny Todd",
nor do we have any leads on where to find them
Y77 - BARBERS STROP - rhymes with "hope", yes this is the leather strap
to hone the straight razor. [$6.00]
370 BOOT DAGGER - 3 and 3/4" blade. Everyone thinks that a boot
dagger is going to be a really cool addition to a show, but boot daggers are
very small (so they won't rub against the ankle) and when actors hold them are
nearly invisible to the audience (it looks like the character is just pointing
angrily.) - [$3.79]
Helpful hint: If you have been told to get a boot dagger, do two things before
ordering. 1) go to the costumer and find out what the maximum overall knife
length can be. In other words, how much space do you have to house the knife.
Then 2) take a ruler onstage and show the director what different blade lengths
look like when stuck out of someone's hand. This way you'll find out the minimum
blade length the director can be happy with. Somewhere between this minimum
blade length and maximum overall length is the info you need to place the order.
371-1- ROSALINE - trim "womans" dagger;
6" blade. This one works rather well for a "boot" dagger. [$9.05]
360 - SKEAN DUE - the Scots highlander would always make sure that he was
appointed with sword, large dirk, and finally this small knife tucked into the
top of his sock just under the knee. 3 and 1/2" blade.
[$7.16]
365 - PUNCH/STRAIGHT COMBO KNIFE this is a folding knife that only
folds half-way, turning from a standard utility knife to a punching dagger
3" blade. [$2.53]
