Shotguns for rent

[Prices are for the first 30 days and are subject to change. For more info see ...  rental prices ]

Did you know that... most shotguns before the 1870’s were just muzzle-loaded blackpowder guns? For shows set before the Civil War, look back at the G70 thru G76 muskets in the longarms section.

All of the items on this page are of extremely limited availability - a two-month waiting list is not uncommon. They also have been broken, battered and repaired several times and show the signs of decades of actor abuse. No pristine models here.

G64 - SHOTGUN - non-firing; double barrel – once shotguns were invented, they really didn’t evolve much. The basic look is always the same, although there is some variation in the butt stocks. Also known as a side-by-side, these do "break-open" for breach loading, but the hammer and triggers do not move.   work/prop – [$ 75.00]

we have one double-barrel shotgun that does not open at all;  fused closed - waive around prop only - G63 -  [$ 39.00]

bullet

we also have one last  single-barrel shotgun that does not open at all;  save some money - G65 -  [$ 25.00]

G66 - STAGE COACH  - non-firing; double barrel – these break open just like the G64's above, but the materials used in their construction (as with all replicas from Spain) are much weaker. These are very fragile props. [Don't let your actors play with them - they'll break the break-open mechanism]. The hammers and trigger do not move, and the barrels are shorter than standard - only 35" long.  work/prop – [$ 45.20]

OK, you probably saw this coming. We have a growing number of pre-broken Stage Coach shotguns that no longer break-open.  - G68 -  [$ 22.00]

G67 – COUNTRY SQUIRE - to try and solve the problem of firing a shotgun on stage we’ve built these double-barrel replicas, but they do not break open. Solidly built of steel from end to end. No discharge down the barrel, so safe for any theatre.     22 cal.   blank-fire  – [$ 95.00]

("what kind of blanks  do I need?")

  G63 - SAWED-OFF 2-BARREL-    23" long.  work/prop – [$ 45.20]

We only have one each of the following non-firing replicas:

K34 - PUMP FULL-SIZE -
large – steel, wood, and very scary. Does not fire, but the pump slide moves. Full steel and wood.    work/prop – [$ 100.00]      [ ... or buy it for $3,373.  "What?!?" That's right, so if you rent it, don't lose it.]

K32 - PUMP SAWED-OFF -
more concealable, therefore a criminal’s weapon. Again, non-firing, but this one is made of  light plastic, a toy really - and very limited moving parts.
prop – tan, wood grip  [$ 9 rental [ ... or buy it for $303 ]
